Do you have Aid stations?

There is 6 aid stations the first 2 are for Marathon only and are 7klms apart. From there they are every 5klms. 

Aid 1 7klm, Aid 2 14klm, Aid 3, 21klm (Half Marathon start) Aid 4 26.5klm, Aid 5 32klm (10k start) Aid 6 37klm. All aid stations have Water, selected aid stations will have electrolyte drinks and limited number of gels.

Can I leave special drinks for pick up at aid station?

Special drinks can be left at Bib pick up prior to 2pm Saturday 

Can I leave a drop bag for the finish line at the start?

Yes it is likely to be cold, you can leave clothing that will be transported to the finish line. We accept no responsibility for valuables left in drop bag, or items left with aid stations on course.

Do I need to be  fully  vaccinated to enter.

At this stage no, you don't. However with the situation around Covid 19 regulations constantly changing. This may change.  If you enter and become ineligible to compete a refund will be given. 

My friend wants to accompany me on a bike?

No Bikes are permitted on course, spectators are welcome to go to the various aid stations or better still volunteer.

What is the minimum age for each event ?

Marathon 18

Half Marathon 16

10klm 12 Children under 10 may be able to compete. If they are a proven runner and will be with a guardian for the duration of the race. Contact Us 

Where do the buses depart from?

Transport will be provided to the start of marathon, half marathon and 10k events, departing Ray Finlayson sporting complex at 6.00 am for marathon, 8.00 am for Half marathon and 9.00 am for 10k There is always more entrants than seats on the bus for 10k, so if you can organise a lift to the start that would be a great help. 

Can I change events?

Yes you may,  find your confirmation email that you received when you registered and click on the "edit my Registration link" 

I  need to withdraw from the event.

If you need to withdraw contact race organiser via goldfieldsmarathon@gmail.com while not obliged to process any refund, we will refund less an admin fee up until June 30th.
